Yahoo! MyBlogLog akan tutup mulai May 24, 2011
Pagi-pagi buka email dari kantor, dapat email dari Yahoo yang subject emailnya Yahoo! MyBlogLog to be discontinued. Awalnya cukup kaget juga, MyBloglog yang berada di bawah raksasa internet Yahoo bisa tutup juga.
Berikut isi emailnya.
Dear MyBlogLog Customer,You have been identified as a customer of Yahoo! MyBlogLog. We will officially discontinue Yahoo! MyBlogLog effective May 24, 2011. Your agreement with Yahoo!, to the extent that it applies to the Yahoo! MyBlogLog, will terminate on May 24, 2011.
After May 24, 2011 your credit card will no longer be charged for premium services on MyBlogLog. We will refund you the unused portion of your subscription, if any. The refund will appear as a credit via the billing method we have on file for you. To make sure that your billing information is correct and up to date, visit https://billing.yahoo.com.

Kemudian saya login ke situsnya untuk cek kebenarannya dan ternyata memang iya. saya sudah lama sekali ga login ke mybloglog ini dan sekilas tampilannya masih sama seperti terakhir saya kunjungi.

Saya pun jadi ingat ketika sekitar 3 tahun yang lalu ketika baru join ke mybloglog. saat itu semangat nge-blog saya lagi tinggi-tingginya. hampir semua situs social media saya ikuti. tercatat ada 6 blog saya yang saya daftarkan di mybloglog.
Yah web berbasis media sosial sekarang sangatlah banyak sekali. Ada Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz, Friendster, Koprol, dan lainnya. Sepertinya Yahoo ingin berkonsentrasi mengembangkan Yahoo Pulse nya supaya ga ketinggalan dari raksasa internet lainnya. Padahal antara Yahoo Pulse dan MyBloglog sendiri sebenarnya berbeda konsep penggunaannya.
Apapun, yang pasti widget mybloglog yang ada di sidebar blog ini akan segera diturunkan, say good bye to Yahoo! MyBlogLog and thanks
